I have had enough time today to make the 'About' page, and make improvements to other areas of the site. I still need to make the 'Contact' page, and I need to make a decent page for The Adventures of Guy flash thing.

Isn't it amazing the way that I seem to have lots of free time when I theoretically should be busy (such as last week, before my maths exam), and the way that I am always busy when I apparently have nothing to do (like now)? Does anyone else suffer from this?

In case you didn't gather this from the above paragraph: I am currently very busy. Therefore any updates to any Emptosoft programs will be slow to arrive, and the finishing of the website will take quite some time too. The wierd thing about this business is that I don't seem to have anything to do, but I keep on finding little jobs that need doing on my computer.

Also, an update to the Adventures of Guy seems well overdue - It's been almost a year since I made episode 6. I'm not sure whether I will continue with the flash version, or whether I will just upload the full Bink Video version. If any of you are wordering why I haven't just used a screen capture program to capture Guy, rather than slowly converting it to Bink, I have tried capturing it from my screen. However, even with my brilliant 64-Bit processor (I would have gone dual core 64-bit, but that would have just been ridiculously powerful and expensive), the slide show had a very slow and erratic frame rate. This just made a rubbish output film, which would have taken longer to fix, than a conversion to Bink, which is much more useful with the ability to output .exe and .scr files, as well as having a huge amount of frame rate, quality, colour depth and compression tools included.

I seem to have gone on for a bit...That will make up for my inactivity on the Emptosoft website. Don't forget: If you have any comments about, or suggestions for my programs or website, please comment here (on the blog), or on the Emptosoft forums.

I have started a poll about the maths exam I did today here. I am also still working on finishing the website.

I've made the website a lot better, with a small introduction animation, a page for the adventures of Guy (which have been moved from "...\downloads\guy.swf" to "...\flash\guy.swf), and under construction messages for the 'About' and 'Contact' pages. The pages in the website also have an icon, now. Also, all of the Emptosoft programs have been updated, so their readme files now say that their licence is the Creative Commons 2.5. The website has been updated with this link at the bottom of the home page too. I've also got the second module of my maths GCSE tommorrow, which I might revise for, for the rest of tonight (I don't intend to wake up until as late as possible tommorrow). Once this exam has been conpleted, I should have a lot more time to finish the website...

ERTfT 2.2 has been released. It now features loads of information when you are downloading an update: download speed, amount downlaoded, estimated time remaining, and lots of other stuff...

I am hoping to build a general Emptosoft updater in the next few days (or weeks, depending on how much time I have), that will update any Emptosoft software. It will be built so that it won't have to be updated every time new software comes out. It will only be able to update a program if the program in question runs it with its name as a parameter. If the update programis run without a parameter, it will update itself. I don't think that building in an ability to update all Emptosoft programs on your computer will be something that will happen soon, because it will require a lot of programming.

In case you were wondering what I have been doing over the last few days, I have been making the ERTfT 2.2. It now lets you view the version information before you check for updates, and has a progress bar and various other details when downloading updates. It will still take me a few days to finish it, so don’t expect any new releases soon…

Version 2.1 released. It solves a problem that I discovered whilst showing off the update feature of the program which involves a problem downloading the update list if there is no saved program data (data from a use of the program is only saved if someone actually uses the main bit of the program, rather than updates it or views the details of the last user).
