I have finally fixed the problems with this space. It seems that the section of code that is meant to stop blank messages from being posted was malfunctioning, and preventing any messages from being posted.

However, I am still going to abandon this space soon, because it is associated with my old .Net Passport. At the moment I am considering hosting my personal blog on my website. I shall post more news soon...

I have found a website worthy of being next month's website of the month. I can't give you any details yet (you have to wait until next month), but I can tell you that the man who appears to run the website (and have a lot of photos of himself on it), would be a very strong candidate for the part of Guy if The Adventures of Guy were ever turned into a movie.

The new Emptosoft RSS Feed is now ready to run, and is being launched on Wednesday the 18th of January. That means that this blog is now not the official Emptosoft blog, and I can put unofficial stuff here.

I may add a few pages to the website soon to deal with the Emptosoft history (which I am removing from the Space soon) and also to display a few small Emptosoft images other people can display on their websites. I am also going to stick these on all of the websites that I help with, to increase publicity. It will also help people see some of the non-Emptosoft stuff that I make.

I have started construction on a new RSS Feed on the website. It will feature all of the Official Emptosoft news, such as program releases, major program and website developments and other important stuff.

When I have started the new RSS feed, I will stop putting official Emptosoft stuff here, and this will revert back to the personal blog it was a few months ago, with similar to the edited London Underground 2016 map (which is still viewable in the photos section of this space) featuring a lot. It is fairly important that you understand that that map is edited. I added a few extensions of my own (Piccadilly Line Arnos Grove to Waltham Cross extension and the Outer Circle Line), which I feel should be built. The original London Underground proposed changes for 2016 map is available for download here, and more information about it is available here. (All on the Transport for London Website).

Other recent general stuff:

I am aware that there is a wierd error with the live bookmark stuff on the website. When you click on the live bookmark icon, a list of two, three or four live bookmarks appears. All of these live bookmarks work, and are exactly the same. At the moment I haven't the faintest idea why this is happening, and it looks like one of those problems that I won't eradicate until I rebuild the website from scratch again (which won't be any time soon - I've only just finished making it!)...

As a matter of fact, it is this blog that the live bookmarks are linked to, so you may already know about this problem...

Anyway, I should stop doing this internet stuff - I haven't attempted to make progress with any of my half-finished updates for a few days...

I have made a few updates to the website:

1. Some text on the pages changed.
2. The javascript and cascading style sheets for the website have both been detatched from all of the pages, so that the whole website is relying on the same files. This makes all of the pages function in the same way and look the same. It also means that I only have to update the javascript and css files to bring changes to the whole website.
3. The introductory flash movie has been removed and replaced with two introductory pictures, and the page that they are on will now automatically redirect to the home page.
4. The good and bad websites of the month have been updated - check them out!
5. The pages have been optimised to reduce their size, and therefore reduce downloading time.

Also, a few major updates for some of the programs are currently under development, as you should be able to see from the banner on the home page.

I'm pretty happy with how the website looks and functions now, so I am satisfied that the website update is complete. It's my last day of school tommorrow, and on Wednesday I am going to Ireland, so I guess this is going to be my last time online in 2005. Therefore, I would like to wish everyone a very merry christmas and a happy new year...

At the moment the website is undergoing some major updates. Please bpe patient during these updates, because problems with the website may temporarily arise. At the moment you can see some of the new features on the home page. You will also notice at the moment, that the home page is the only page you can see these features on. This updates should be finished before Christmas...

Also, because all of my energy is going into updating the website, there will be no program updates for a while (I've got some pretty major program updates in the works at the moment). In fact, the website will probably be the last thing that I will update until 2006, and after releasing a few updates in the first few days of the new year, I will once again be unable to update anything bacause of my GCSE mock exams...

If anyone is thinking of getting me a christmas present, or has just felt guilty after reading the last few words bacause they haven't thought about getting anything for me, then there is one good Christmas present you can get me: GET EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO VISIT THE EMPTOSOFT WEBSITE, AND USE MY SOFTWARE!

I have released the ERTfT 3.0, which is so amazingly faster than 2.9 at counting frames that even I am struggling to believe how good it is. I have also released the Emptosoft Updater 2.1, which has a few small improvements on 2.0, and a few errors fixed.

EDM 1.1 released, fixing several bugs in 1.0. You will need the latest version of the Emptosoft Updater (version 1.8) to update the EDM. I have had enough time today to make the 'About' page, and make improvements to other areas of the site. I still need to make the 'Contact' page, and I need to make a decent page for The Adventures of Guy flash thing.

Isn't it amazing the way that I seem to have lots of free time when I theoretically should be busy (such as last week, before my maths exam), and the way that I am always busy when I apparently have nothing to do (like now)? Does anyone else suffer from this?

In case you didn't gather this from the above paragraph: I am currently very busy. Therefore any updates to any Emptosoft programs will be slow to arrive, and the finishing of the website will take quite some time too. The wierd thing about this business is that I don't seem to have anything to do, but I keep on finding little jobs that need doing on my computer.

Also, an update to the Adventures of Guy seems well overdue - It's been almost a year since I made episode 6. I'm not sure whether I will continue with the flash version, or whether I will just upload the full Bink Video version. If any of you are wordering why I haven't just used a screen capture program to capture Guy, rather than slowly converting it to Bink, I have tried capturing it from my screen. However, even with my brilliant 64-Bit processor (I would have gone dual core 64-bit, but that would have just been ridiculously powerful and expensive), the slide show had a very slow and erratic frame rate. This just made a rubbish output film, which would have taken longer to fix, than a conversion to Bink, which is much more useful with the ability to output .exe and .scr files, as well as having a huge amount of frame rate, quality, colour depth and compression tools included.

I seem to have gone on for a bit...That will make up for my inactivity on the Emptosoft website. Don't forget: If you have any comments about, or suggestions for my programs or website, please comment here (on the blog), or on the Emptosoft forums.
